Plans for October 9-10, 2026

We loved hosting the only regional Puppeteers of America festival in 2025! So many amazing folks from all over the States met in the Midwest this past July to share the joy of puppetry--with each other and the local community. 

Like dandelion seeds in the wind, however, most of this dream of a committee has dispersed for other projects. But there is a new team making plans to host another Verona puppet event in 2026--a very mini festival. (And not a PofA festival, as the official regions likely have their own events in the works, like the one in Iowa slated for September 10-13. Go to as many of those as you can--I know I will!)

We are talking with local venues and folks in the puppet industry, and hope to offer a day or two of workshops, a few performances, and another Community Day, with all the entertainment we had this past summer. On the performance and workshop side, we are striving for a more slow-paced, intimate, and intentional gathering. Mark your calendar for the fall of 2026 and stay tuned to this space for updates!
